PLEASE HELP! - 1992 MX-5 Idles but dies when given gas
Hey everyone, I've got a problem. I have a 1992 Mazda Miata, It is stock other than new plugs, and other little things. The Fuel Pump, Fuel Lines, and injectors have been replaced recently. Well taken care of and only 70k miles. The problem I am having is that it will start and idle. It is not the AFM that part works fine, I even replaced it just to be sure, both the new one and old work just the same. I have run codes and nothing came back. There is no check engine light. The car starts and idles fine, if "stomp" the gas the car makes almost a wheezing noise or like sucking of air and then dies. However, you can get the car to rev up if you gently and slowly apply gas and gently and slowly let out. I'm thinking there is something wrong with the fuel delivery? I've cleared codes and rerun and nothing comes up as an issue. A few things I can say is that when I bought the car after further examination I noticed the fuel filter has been bypassed, as in no fuel is going in or out of the fuel filter, which I thought was odd, I'm really stumped here, I am sure there are some brainiacs on this site that would be willing to help so here it is, Thank you so much again!
I will try to check this post every day! Thanks.
