Default COPS setup photos

Gday guys,

Ive build half a dozen 1.6 cops setups now, and people on my local forum(in australia) are PMing me to build 1.8 setups, now Ive seen the diagrams, and I have a workshop manual, so thats fine, but do the 1.8 cars have ignitor to piggyback off like a 1.6? Can people please explain/post photos of how the loom actually integrates into the cars factory loom.

Cheers,
Dann

1.8 coil pack includes igniters and has two factory connectors (one for each dual coil) and each are four wires.

You can do a PnP for the 1.8 if you want... just make a connector from the harness, and run the wires from the COPS to the connector. The coils have built in ignitors...

Run the 1&4 COPs to the trigger and 2&3 to the trigger and you are good.

I will have mine done today and can show you some pics if you want.

Easiest is to find a dead coilpack and snip the connectors off.

Best comprimise is to get two sets of 6pin weatherpack connectors. cut off the OEM connectors from the engine harness, and wire it to a weatherpack connector. Then put the matching male side on both your coilpack and COPs. This way you can be backwards compatible down the road if you ever need to go back to the oem coilpack.

or just cut it and hardwire.
