Default supercharged PRHT

I recently purchased the supercharger kit for my 2011 PRHT from Flyin' Miata. It arrived 3 days after placing the order. The kit was very complete. Installation was performed by Larry Carpenter of Carpenter Motor Sports, Ogden, Utah. Carpenter Motor Sports is an old time, do business on a handshake type shop. Great people, highly recommended. The car was fun to drive before but it is now a real pleasure. The supercharger is very streetable, especially considering the otherwise stock set up. The torque is noticeable within the mid RPM ranges of ever gear. It does not offer “neck snapping” acceleration but this is a daily driver with stock internals running minimal boost. It has plenty of power to climb the hills in Utah, pass anything on the freeway except for big motor cars but will give them a scare. It now reaches freeway speeds on even the shortest of on ramps. Speed limit in Utah is 80 on the freeway. I often drive it from Salt Lake City to St. George, about 300 miles. There are several grade that increase over 2000 feet in elevation and the car never skips a beat. On a recent trip, a Hummer passed me a couple of times, moved over then slowed down. When he pulled alongside the third time, I just stepped on the gas and went 80 to 105 in little more than a heartbeat. Must have been a shock because I never saw him again. Great product. Very glad I made the choice. Brakes are next when the budget allows.

I bet the supercharger makes a big difference at higher elevations. I remember how wheezy cars got when going from Colorado Springs up to the summit of Pikes Peak back when I lived there.

Flyin' Miata is known for the completeness of their kits. Post some underhood pictures, please.

Did you stay with the stock exhaust? I am planning a similar upgrade on my Miata, but thought I'd start with a street header & midpipe and flash the ECU. Then after I save up another bucket of money, pull the trigger on the supercharger. Just curious what you did and if an upgrade on the exhaust is in the future for you.
