And MS1 can control the fans too. The way you worded it kinda sounded like you need a MS2

he referes to this : "The MS2 can run the fans instead of relying on the thermoswitch like the stock ECU. "

 Brainy! I kind of vaguely somewhat see his point (I did go from saying my MS2 to MS2 in the post), but are you guys grammar nazi'ing me in my build thread? :P
I mean, come on! Granted, I'm laughing my ass off about it, but still! |

Since you are being nazi about it Brain, this calls for an update! Well, a backdate.
So, a bit of the history behind the car. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 This is when I was just starting to pull it apart. (Why, yes, it's had at least 3 colors. I'm seriously considering repainting it white at this point.) Everything, including carpet, is gone. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 This is in the middle of the first application of sound dampening paint, first round of stitch welding (MIG), and putting on a new top. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 The second round of sound dampening. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 The third round of sound dampening - this is the test fitting and preparing to apply the ever-great Reflectix. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 Hey, all the sound dampening finished! Yes, three layers for those who have been keeping track - I'll be going back in to move it up to 4 layers this spring. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 Here is the finished interior! https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 Time to dry-ice the mothertrucking trunk! https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 This is the final stages of dry icing the tar out of the trunk, in preparation for yet-more sound dampening material. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 This is the first layer of sound dampening paint applied in the trunk. https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1327092029 This is the finished trunk. Minus the worn stock carpet, I'm actually extremely happy with how it turned out. I'll be going back in to add in another layer of sound dampening material (Weight increase is negligible - probably ~25lbs in all for a dramatic decrease in sound) this spring, with (hopefully) Goodwin Racing's premium plush carpet set. |
Nice job

Interesting. Sound dampening. what's the sound setup you are putting in?
