I have an extra tstat neck.. will it bolt up back there???

Anyhow heres an update.... from a true backyard mechanic lol! Ive been bouncing btwn a bunch of our shop so i never know where im gona be so i decided to do the build on the patio at home lol! Got her all tore down.. gona plastigauge all the bearings tomorrow and hopefully get the new rings on along with the arp studs.. gotta get the head resurfaced yet.. got a full gasket kit on the way along with new mounts... and ill be picking up the act clutch next week.

 

Who knows bout these oil pans?? It looks like the baffle will come out but i dont want to f it all up trying to remove it... Was a pain in the azz getting the pan off..

 

Oh ya almost forgot... heres how you resurface a miata flywheel lol!

LOL, you have to clean up your back yard every night if you rebuild it back there.

Ya ur right.. cant leave thousands of dollars of matco and snap on tools laying out.. But here i can sit back take my time, drink a beer and make sure its perfect... everything gets rushed when im at work cus we're constanly busy...

Well lower end all measured out perfectly!! Me happy! Someone had been in there but whatever they did they did it perfect... Now im just on hold till i locate a set of rings then reassembly begins... Got to go clean a bunch of parts in the meantime.. looks like the plan is keeping on track though.. still shootin to drop her in next sun...

 

Lil miata ****.. this is the stock oil pan baffle out of a 1.6l... cleaned of course..
