don't do vmaxx man, they are not worth it. its like a more expensive rokkor/racelands.

You can go with a setup like I did, its not even $100 more than vmaxxx. You can save money on springs and go with summit springs instead if you like.

Bilstein shocks: $400 at tirerack or CHEAPER at parts geek
allstar sleeve: $16x4 at summitracing
allstar perch: $13x4 at summitracing
QA1 springs: $38x4 at summitracing (or cheaper)

dude thanks for the list. i was going to go this route but didnt know where do begin. i dont know much about spring rates, all i know is a good ride for some DD duty, and autocross and and track when i get to that point.

I would go with 375/275 (or stiffer really, I like my 550/450, a bit rough on the cracked up roads, but everything else is fine). Supple, but compliant in the bumps. Get some really stiff sway bars for rolling resistance and that will make up for the low rates, but do keep in mind at those spring rates you can't take a big drop in ride height, or you will end up on the bump stops a lot, especially if your roads suck.

I would do no more than 1.5" drop at that spring rate, but that even be too much.

also, when you get the all star sleeve, make sure its the 5" one. the 7" ones are too long. Also the "kit" they sell is kinda gimmicky, it comes with a top perch that does nothing (I have them sitting around), so don't get the kit, just buy the "replacement" parts. I can provide you with links later, if you have a hard time finding them.

cool, i would appreciate it, ill see what i can come up with.

I am going to embark on a polishing spree, Cam cover, Intake, Throttle body. First im going to take the cam cover and intake to a local grave stone maker. they use a very fine media blaster that takes paint and such off very easily. the im going to work with some 500, 800, 1000 grit sand paper and finally a polishing wheel on the drimmel.
Est time 20ish hours

Bushings? Bump stops? Top hats? Might drive the price up a bit too much for his tastes.

he can reuse all of what he has.

I cut my stock NB bumpstops, used the two rubber bushings and bought some beefy washers (actually used the washers in the ES sway bar bushing set) to use on the bottom. I am about to do my alignment in the next week or so, so I can snap some pictures of how I got around that.

If you decide to move to NB tophats, buy the rubber bushings, but buy 2 of the flat metal thing, rather than buying the cup.

Thats per side btw. and don't forget the actual tophat. better yet, just buy a set of used NB tophats from CR, they go up all the time.
