maybe with the reroute, also remember my turbo isn't water cooled. so if i added a oil cooler i would probably be fine.

your fans should only be needed when the car is stopped, this is also not the point of a reroute...

sounds like he has a bigger issue, like a leak, or a bad thermostat, or low fluid, or a bad HG, or he's missing the undertray or has some grill in front of the radiator, or something.

or an intercooler placed so far forward into the mouth of the car that it creates a boundary layer that the air flows right over instead of through...

new rad, new thermostat, full fluids, no grille, intercooler moved to as close to the radiator as possible. but no under tray. havnt had hot weather to see how the changes fair.

I bet you anything it's the undertray.

the IC is a big restriction in front of the Rad which makes it hard for air to flow through...and sinc eair flows form high to low, it's easier for the air to enter the mouth and then flow around it or underneath it as the pressure it being built up in front.

replace it and you'll see stabile temps again.

I did the simplest amount of "sealing" that one could possibly do. A simply sheet across the bottom and some sheets of felxible ABS cutout to block the air from going around the rad/ic.

It's probably 75% sealed up, I didn't bother getting extreme with out...just wanted to "plug" the large gaps.

i had one ordered at one point. looked under the car, and the p/o had cut the ---- out of the underside of the bumper. ill grab a picture of it when i go to the garage in a bit. be prepared for shitty cell phone picture.

While I don't doubt your bumper is cut up, do keep in mind there are two pieces to the undertray. The bigger rearward piece is what everyone considers "the" undertray, and then there's the forward undertray which is technically more important, since its the one that sits in front of the radiator. It's the black plastic piece you can see through the "mouth" of the miata.

and before you comment on the IC i know it needs replaced. but you can see that there is no sort of ducting. its on the list to do something like scott shows
