Default Operation: Paint Scrape

had quite a few people asking me if i have a build thread on my car. guess it's time to make one.

this is how i bought it, some old man who imported it from japan didn't want it anymore. has a 1.8l swap because he didn't change the coolant when he brought it across. first canadian winter it was here and crrrrrraaaaaaacccckkkk! there goes the block.

as far as i know, there was a batch of 89-91 miata's that had a primer sealer issue and the paint is known to fall off.

^ yuck no thanks. i've driven enough rusty cars i want a shiney one now

had to have one artsy photo with the ugly paint (iphone apps. wooo)

sanded the trunk and let it get rusty over winter... filled ugly spoiler holes (spoilers for sale fyi)

thats kinda what it looks like semi sanded down. i'll load more up tonight.

couldn't resist putting these in.

then made this happen

good ol winter beater

brought her into the shop to have her big brother teach a few lessons. haha

so i bought a parts car to help the ease of body work.

turns out the car is in mint shape. like if it wasn't crashed it's floor show shape. everything looks brand new

swapped the hard top first

then trunk and door

then everything else i could

Home made anti theft device
I had a wig on the other end but it looks a little over the top. (and it would of gotten super dirty in this weather)

so time for a bit of an update on my car... here we go

new rims and tires

made myself a shift boot because mine was cracked and ugly

and rolled my fenders (pretty much because i have never done it and i wanted to say that i've done it)

got my side strikers for my hardtop.

and finally parked like a champ on my front yard when we still had snow
