I've got an engine with a NB2 short-block, NB1 head, shaved(forgot how much, it was warped quite a bit though), 5-angle valve job, bowls polished, and a slight port job. I'm planning on putting it in after this season of auto-x.
Doing 949's recipe of EUDM square-top, MSM intake cam, tuned on a MS2, 12-tooth crank trigger from TSE, IAT in for MAF, I/H/E, straight 93 pump-gas with an second 110 octane tune(yay for the South and it's local dirt-tracks and dragways).
I'll be happy if I make 140rwhp on 93, who knows with 110, may not even be that much of a gain. But I figure it'd increase the longevity on the engine, were all on borrowed time when we track a car anyways, right?
