Default Fuel injector help.

Ok so first things first, I wasn't REALY quiet sure if this belongs in this section or turbo section or what so if it's in the wrong area please move it. Anyways, so I'm planing on maby going turbo way down the road maby not I'm not REALY sure yet but ether way I want more power. And I was thinking about getting some PNP injectors, maby 330cc or 450cc. But my question that I need help on is, how much power would I gain? 2 HP? 7 HP? and allso how much mpg would I lose? And lastly, just how PNP are they. Can I just plug them in and be good or do I need to do ANYTHING els. Hopefully this isn't to much to ask for help on an not to noobish. Thanks.

Sid.

If you use bigger injectors on a stock ECU you're idle won't be right. As far as big on stock ECU, I'm talking like 305cc. There is no way you'll get 450's to run on a stock ECU. If you increase injector size, your fuel mileage won't change, and neither will your horsepower. The only thing larger injectors are for is to provide more fueling for higher boost. If I were you, I'd leave your stock injectors in. I'm running my stockers right now and I'm also running a turbo with 7psi, and have no issues.
In the words of Keith Stone: "You don't have to like my advice...you just have to follow it."

I allways thought more fuel would get you a lil more power same more air. Hmmmm well thanks for that then. Well sense I see your using megasquirt maby you can help me on this allso? Iv heard there are but I'm not REALY sure what exactly. What benefits can I get from using megasquirt without a turbo. Iv been told you can make some stuff operate better and allso get more power? But how exactly. What settings would you tweak with MS.

Everything. Timing, air/ fuel ratios. You name it.
Put it this way. Factory my car got about 26 mpgs and made about 105hp to the wheels. My last dyno made 225 to the wheels and I was getting about 29 mpgs.
Megasquirt is something that's takes patience and research. You can't just plug it in and expect to have what I have.

Lol I wasn't expecting to, even more so sense your turbo. But if I'm willing to take my time and REALY learn it your saying MS is worth it even if I don't ever go turbo?

there is no power to be had from swapping injectors. the stock ecu could stand to reduce fueling...

If you just go to a larger injector on the stock ecu you will not gain power and you will reduce mpg.

If you use a MS you can* improve cruising mpg through manipulation of fuel AND timing. The MS can* also give you a little better power during acceleration through manipulation of fuel AND timing.

To make any appreciable gains in power you will need to increase the amount of air entering your engine. Without more air more fuel is useless.

*With a poor tune, mpg and power could also be much worse.
