Led Instrument Cluster

I ordered the leds from Super Bright Led's.
To begin the swap, the instrument cluster must be removed. follow these instructions.Instrument cluster removal.
there are 4 bulbs that must be changed to achieve the look, the can be identified by the little green bulb cover. replace them with your led's and test in car to make sure they work. if not reverse the light in the socket, and retry. when they all work in replace and reverse the steps above.
End result on my car.

what LEDs did you order?

Hmm.... lighting looks a little less even than stock. Did you rub off the green from the back side (thereby removing the halftone pattern that evens out the light distribution)?

^Its normal on LEDs, especially ones with a low angle lens. The LED cluster thread on m.net is particularly thorough on this. One guy found these LEDs which were mounted at an angle to be particularly good at over coming the hot spotting. I just took mylar and wrapped the inside of the cluster and fixed all the hot-spotting except for one spot. I can post pictures later.

Does anyone know if you can get these led's at like lows or home d. And also is it possible to change the color on the the AC/heat unit?

No, not a lowes.

and yes the AC/heat unit is two LEDs. Its a bit tricky to get them out, but its not too difficult. I can't remember the size though...

You can also make a DIY LED gauge cluster. Thats what I did with mine, before I knew about superbrightsleds.com. For what it is it works great, I just took the factory light sockets and modded them to accept the LEDs soldered a resistor in place and it was good to go. If I were to do it again I would probably just buy them.

I think that's great, I'm a sucker for things that light up. I wonder if you could add some yellow LEDs in there too. I've got an LED setup in my gauge cluster.
