It is well known that you can use * for degrees, unless you wanna type it out forever.

I believe you're right though, it should say 10.

Is this a misprint? It should say 10 degrees ( cant find the button sorry)

Later you say to adjust till it says 10?

Thanks almost finished with the assembly. I could not have done it with out this write up!
yeah, that's a mistake I'll fix. I wrote that writeup for a Mustang 5.0, which they use 20° to chekc timing. Match whatever you lock the timing to.

I also need to add how you'd add seq. injection, and the a/c input/output for use with the sglender 2.2b firmware. It has many idle improvments.

it's really not hard. Say you have a '91.

Instead of wiring 1Q (the a/c switch) to Input 1 IN then back OUT to 1J, simply completeing a circuit.

You'd wiring 1Q to Input 1 IN, The input 1 OUT to PE1.
Then from PAO to 1J.

Now, when the A/C switch is grounded, the MS knows, it can bump up the idle, then ground the output to 1J.

The only issue with it is that you quickly run out of inputs and outputs. Especially on a 99 running seq. injection.

----

If you want to run launch control, you'd do something similar, where you'd take the clutch switch (1V?) to Input 2 IN, then Input 2 OUT, to FLEX.

----

Adding seq. injection is extremely easy--you have the option for the module from diyautotune.com, or you can build the circuit yourself using (2) VND5N07s, (2) 100K resistors, and (2) 1K resistors.

I can post the circuit later.

But PT6 and Pt7 become the inputs for channels 3 and 4 respectivally. Then the drivers go out to the harness. Since we inject in a firing order of 1342, You need ot make sure you wire to the correct clyinders, where:

INJ1 = Clyinder #1
INJ2 = Clyinder #3
INJ3 = Clyinder #4
INJ4 = Clyinder #2

the 1.6L miata requires you to run to extra wires out your db15 and into the engine bay, and rework the injector harness to make sure each injector is run on it's own channel. All other 1.8L miatas are pre-wired for seq. injection.

Look at the software, there's a few available place for each thing.

If you're running seq. injection, that highly limits you, but if not, move boost to pt7 or something.

Default Am I dumb?

and awesome job BF-Brian.... I'm new here.....

I just bought basically this set up with sequential fuel. When I read over the DIYPNP instructions I am not overwhelmed with a cozy feeling of understanding of what exactly they are attempting to say/tell/instruct.

I can and will figure this out but I find it anything but clear and concise.

This is a very noobish question. I saw that you wrote this for a v8 mustang, but are all the 76 pin mspnp mainboards assembled the same? For what I understand the only difference would be the way the main board wires up to the connector board, and of course different base maps. Thanks for the amazing write up btw!

The write up is for the DIYPNP and that is a different product than the MSPNP, btw.

Those pictures were just stamped with the mustang site logo because that is where they were hosted. That site was also owned by the owner of this forum at one time. Everything listed is pertinent to the Miata as far as I can tell (I'm using a MS1 but didn't build it myself, Brain did).
