Default NB Power Window Trouble

My first post....

About a week ago my 1999 Miata's driver's side window switch started blowing fuses while the passenger side would go up and down with no problem. I popped out the switch and it looked slightly burnt up so I figured it was just a bad switch. Well, I replaced the switch yesterday and again the fused popped when pushing up and down on the switch! So, I removed the door panel and tested the Ohms and guess what? No resistance! I tried getting a look to see inside the door but due to the small size of the openings and the large size of my hands it has been difficult. Does anyone have any advice on my next move? I've read a lot about replacing the motor, but I wanted to be sure of my next venture before I start taking things apart. I apologize if this has been posted before but I have been simply unable to find anyone with a similar problem as mine. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

im going to say that 1 of 2 things may have happened. the motor shorted out, or b the wiring is bad in the door somewhere causing a short. either way there is more than likely a short somewhere.
