Default Suspension Measurement

I am considering adding a suspension package to my 2003 Miata.
I have seen some packages (V-Maxx) that says that it should be set up 1/2" lower than the FM Springs.
How/where do you measure the car?
Just how much lower would the FM Springs package lower the car from stock?
Thanks

Measure from the pinch weld by the jacking point on the rocker panel bottom.

I hear the V-Maxx is pretty good. They have two different kits they call that and the better one is ...better. But Xidas from 949 are the best.

I've had the VMAXX on my MSM for a few years now. No regrets.

The Xidas (949 Racing), the AFCOs (FM) and several other suspensions are all likely better, also all considerably more expensive.

For the street, and occasional autocross, the VMAXX are fine - my opinion. If you're racing or serious about having the best equipment, look at the higher price spread!
