I did say it wasn't for purists. According to their website they plan on making a removable targa top for people who want to make their car a coupe. The coupe conversion has to be done at their shop though.

I would buy a targa top in a heart beat. In fact, it's been a plan of mine for a while to make one if other alternatives don't surface.

Also, I like the Italia 2....sort of. I'd definitely swap my motor into one if I had the option.

I kept looking for a used first generation Italia, never found and purchased this one. The wheels have grown on me. I did not like the steering wheel and swapped it out for a wood Nardi.

Pitcrew did it right.

I appreciate SD for their work but not for me

So now they have two new designs;

http://www.simpsondesign.net/italia2_gtc_promo.html

...which are better but still not great. Fastback coupe style.. pure win, except that it just doesn't look right. Both the front and the **** are real wrongbad. You make the nose or **** longer compared to stock and it throws out the whole proportion of the car.

I still lust after a shorty rear bumper.

This. But after the fender vents are shaved smooth, get rid of the canards, lower it about an inch or 2 & use a slightly lower profile tire - you'd have sex.
