6 hours to Atlanta but the cost of hotels limit the urge to go.
Nashville speedway is 45min up the road but just moved here, car is down ATM, broke, and moving another hour north.

From me-
TGP is about 1.5 hrs away
Road Atlanta is 30min away
CMP is about 4 hrs away
the new Atlanta Motorsports Park is about 45min away (under construction)
Barber Motorsports Park is about 2hrs away

I will be at Road Atlanta this weekend actually, we should meet up if you are free saturday/sunday...maybe get some dinner.

Great, well its september 9, 10, 11. 3 days, but you can do a 2-day sign up and we are running the full VIR track. 4 sessions at 25-30 minutes depending on # of sign-ups:

About 8 hours is plenty for me.

I have:
Infineon - 2.5
Thunderhill - 3
Buttonwillow - 3
and various short tracks, the closest is Stockton 99 about 30 minutes.

Have towed to Reno-Fernly and to Las Vegas motorspeedway but that was the furthest.

Not much around where I live. It's at least 3 hours to closest track. Along with that the dragon is at least 4 hours away. The club in my area doesn't seem to be the liveliest.

What club are you using Randy?

turotufas 08-01-2011 04:33 PM

No money for big tracks. But all the major SE tracks are within 6 hours. Cali and Texas don't phase us...

For now me and the homies have small road courses and circle tracks for autox and drifting: :p

Gainesville (.5)
Bronson (.5)
Ocala (.5)
Orlando (2)
Desoto (3)

MAM is 1.5 hrs
MPH is 2 hrs
HPT is 3 hrs

That would be my limit. I haven't done Topeka yet, thus my "would be". I've done the other two a couple of times, but that was on my bike.

What is going on up there this weekend? Where are you staying?

I'm not using any currently because of what I perceived as a lack of activity. Triangle Miata Owners is what I think the name of the club I looked in to. They apparently had a weekly meet, but it seemed as if only 2 or 3 people would show up each week.
