g2g's anyone
Hi, I'm somewhat of a newbee to the MX5 and the forums, but I'm not new to cars or car forums. I was just wondering if people in the local area (middle, TN) are interested in g2g's just to hang out and work on our cars.
Back when we lived in FL we used to host g2g's at my house. I had a HUGE shop with a lift. Back then myself, my wife, and our son all had Ford Focus'. We were very active in the Focaljet community (forum) and we would host these g2g's about once a month. At these g2g's we would spend the day (sometimes entire weekends) working on our cars, we did everything from suspensions to superchargers. The largest gathering we had was 52 cars in our yard, but the average was about 20+. We no longer have a huge shop like we had in FL, but we do have a 2 bay garage (unfortunately no lift). Is this kind of activity the MX5 community would be interested in ?. Of course I understand that unlike FL, with only one season (summer), we have all four. So this sort of activity would be resreved for our warmer seasons. Just looking for some feedback. - Dano

It certainly interesting to me. I get together with a couple of guys locally and work on our cars. but unfortunately, Tennessee is a little too far for me to drive out to work on the car. I encourage you start something like this though, and see if any people close to you are interested! I know Woolery does this once or twice a year out in cali.
