Currently: reliability and more track time. I'll soon need a new hotside setup as I think my dp has developed a crack, and there are already things I don't care for with the greddy setup. DieselMiata

This summer I will be doing a full rebuild of the car. My 92 is going through the process already. I put it up on blocks, take every part off, clean/paint/lubricate as neccessary. I'm looking at a turbo system in the next year or two. Nothing crazy as i don't race my cars, but just for the experience of it. Mazduh

A: Goals are pretty much to get it track ready. Last year was my first full year of AutoX every weekend pretty much. Before then I maybe did it once or twice in my old honda. I want to get it out on the track and get plenty of seat time. I'm not completely in a rush though, I've been modding as funds become available. Definitely the next few big things on my list in the next month or so with my incoming tax return are Coilovers and rollbar. I'm not really planning on building the motor at all, I'd like to make usable power though. So after I get my suspension setup figured out I'm planning on running Bell Engineering's Xede piggy back with some 550cc injectors. Then maybe a year or so from now upgrade the little turbo to something like a Garret disco potato or 2560r. Ultimate goal is to have around 260-270 usable hp that's fairly reliable and be a track . The reason I want to use such a large turbo with injectors that small and a horsepower goal that small, is because I made 225whp at 12 psi with my SR20 turbo, and I feel that at lower boost with a bigger turbo I will make more power due to the amount of CFM's that will flow.
I also want to replace my current "racing beat" springs with Flyin Miata lowering springs. |
Good luck everyone!

Vote for me and I promise I'll upload much better photos of my car, maybe even a video or 2.

Seriously Rick? You voted for the one with stock daises and body kit? Where's the love bro!?

Thanks. I only wish the car would've had the lowering springs on it for that photo... |

It looks like it's coming down to NA vs. NB. I'm rooting for MazDuh just cause I favor the NB. Sorry NA guys.

As for me, I'm dead last...what else is new! My car isn't to my liking yet anyway. It needs Nickel 6UL's, that bigger turbo, and a 12 second time slip to make me truly happy. |
lol, it was me. I figured we could have a little gay miata fun while the forum is still small. I am pretty sure we have had enough complaints that Rick wants to fire me, so they will be changed soon ;)
|
voted for curly cause he's helped me with a few questions.
|
haha 3 way tie. Well, this is interesting, we need to get more people voting damn it!
|
I voterered. Just remember that no matter who loses, you'll all be losers to me.
lol. |
Haha! I'm the biggest loser!!

@ Mazduh
Just so conveniently dropping it off @ Curly Lol |
The real question is, are you leaving that beamer behind or is he catching you ;) looks fun though, I peek a oil cooler ;)

Not sure, that was a couple months ago. Just watched a spec e30 (that's what that is, isn't it?) on you tube and they're running approx 1:30-1:35 lap, which is what I'm running. So whether or not he's catch me or if I just passed him depends on how hard I was pushing at the time.
Edit: which isn't bad btw, he's on RA-1 r-comps, I'm on 205 Nitto Neo Gens, $60 a pop bitches. |
Curly is making a comeback!
|
Suddenly! A challenger appears!

Yeah, that's fairly cheap for something "trackable".
My criteria for trackable tires means anything name brand and not a snow tire, more or less. I shop at onlinetires.com. Sketch delivery service, and you have to find someone to mount and balance them, but the extra work is worth about $200 over a place like les schwab. They're showing $75 a tire for the neo gens, not sure why...pretty sure I paid ~$63. |
All orignal post pictures are rocking the MF watermark now.
|
Welp... I think I lost... I blame Curly for being too much of a badazz...
