I can't make it down any sooner than about 5 - 5:30. I have to double check with the rest of the Gurnee crew. What time were you thinking?

We were probably going to go during the day around noon since we both have work off... figure it might be less crowded..

You guys missed a good show. As expected, the crowd was extremely light on a Monday. Traffic going into the city even cooperated. There was still free parking still available on 21st in front of my old place.
As for the show, I loved the Miata Roadster. All I can say is WOW. The special editon is a miata with a black roof, not exciting. It was nice to see the Astons there which are always a favorite of mine. MP4 was nice, but meh. The Toyotaru FR-S/BRZ kicks ass and I was so glad to see it. They wouldn't let you sit inside or pop the hood though. Ford had a GT500 strapped to some rollers and they fired it up and dropped the hammer down. That was pretty cool, although too many had faith they strapped it down and stood right I front of it. I don't trust carnies that much myself. The Fiat Abarth is pretry cool looking. I loved its 15" 4 lug wheels, i want to know the pattern. My cousin and I proved it can seat four. You just have to be 5-6 and no more then the 145 I weigh or the 115 his scrawny ass weighs. Even then, my head hit the roof and rear window. But, it is as it looks, a car for us midgets. |

Really disappointed Honda and Toyota weren't doing anything new. Really no buddy was except mazda and hyundai. I think the veloster turbo is god-aweful and they ruined the genesis coupe. That Red NC with the black ht was sexy, I really think the NC will be my next car. The spyder was very awesome too! I really hope mazda's next mazdaspeed is the mazda2. Something about the ms3 drivetrain in a 2 screams awesome to me even if it is fwd. I did like Mercedes new lineup, I really want the new slk. Chevy kinda surprised me too with what ever that coupe thing was in the back. Ford's show didn't change one bit from last year if you ask me, but I still love me some laguna seca! |
Yeah, what was that silver coupe thing with a big ugly Chevy log on it's hood? It was like looking at a really hot chick only to gravitate to this massive ugly mole with hair coming through on her nose.
|
I agree Phil. The NC really is a great car, especially with a new suspension.

The spider just looked sexy with those R-Comps on her. I should have taken a photo but I was too busy FAP'ing.

Did anyone else see the Fiat Arboth? I know soon as they hit the street and I find an owner I'm going to buy those OZ Superleggera's off him! I've been lusting after those wheels for years now! |
Yes, they are sexy. I was saying the same thing.
