Don't leave home without
Tools. I have a simple bag ( laptop bag I got from FM as a door prize ), I carry just some good basic crap. Cheap china 3/8 set, some box ends , a few needle nose pliers, and a 1/4 inch bit driver set etc. I've fixed many cars for friends, ( Hey anybody got a tiewrap, or some electrical tape ). Well today was first day I drove my turbocar in several months, I had replaced crank seal. Needless to say, I left it in garage. Even as I was driving off, I thought to myself ( ya need to take the bag ). After a few miles and a lil boost, I opened her up hit 10psi for a few gears and POP. Car started running like ----, GF says whats wrong. I said I blew a damn IC hose, and left the tools at house. She called her son, as we where only ~ 10 miles away. This is the first time I blow one in 20,000 miles on this car, and my fault but it sucked. Like a S&W never leave home without it.

Yep the car toolbag goes everywhere. I put it together for the first long trip I did in the car... wasn't called upon for anything to do with my car but it did come in handy sorting out some German backpackers' Combi van one day
I also have a spare set of hoses that goes everywhere.

I'll take a picture of my tool bag. You'll lol.
it includes a jack and two jackstand.
ah here it is.
I know it has vacuum line, couplers, hose clamps, fuel line, 1qt of oil, brake fluid, brake cleaner, tape, extra slave clyinder, brake bleeding kit, jack and jack stands like i mentioned, socket set with an 11mm socket, a lot more I'm forgetting.
I've done brake jobs, swapped a turbo and pulled shocks in the parking lot at work with this kit.

I do alot of interstate driving so gps (with red light camera alert + live traffic), radar detector (going to court out of state for a ticket sux!), bt headset (cellphone tickets suck, and driving is best time to confirm appts). Oh yea, I usually keep a kevlar vest in the trunk since the neighborhoods I work in are pretty crappy and I gotta deal with cash sometimes.

I use Mobil 1, and buy 5qt containers. I put extra qt in trunk alond with a gallon of water. In bag I also have a set of line wrenches, allens, and other usefull stuff. I don't carry TQ wrenches, so no TB jobs on road. It is nothing for the GF and I to take a short 500 mile trip on our days off. My car ( turbo one ) will use about a qt in 5,000 miles, and when I check it I always top it off.
