i have my intake off so in this picture you can clearly see the sender unit. but you should be able to get to it without taking the intake off
Does the problem seem to go away when you mess with your performance chip?
The oil pressure gauge can act as a bit of a knock sensor. Most knock will cause it to bounce all over the place. I wouldn't expect a stock engine that's well maintained to do that though, it's usually turbo engines.

yea I have the same problem sometimes. the wire comes loose since it just dangles there like a foo.
Mazda used a straw to keep it straight, but nothing to hang it on for the 99s.
And yes before anyone asks, I have a stock modified OPG that works and doesn't have fluid. Doesn't help really, I got oil starvation once on track and never noticed it till I watched the videos. a low OPG light would do wonders, I just never get around to it, because I am usually smart enough to check my oil.
