96 Miata Starting and Idel Issues
My 96 MX-5 will occasionally start, only if in flood mode and/or if you hold the throttle open, however it dies if you leave it in idel without reving the engine. It is timed, just got a new ignition coil pack put in too. I was thinking it may be an intake pressure issue but am unsure. Any thoughts on a solution or cause?

Hi Thomas,
check for vacuum leaks. If it gets better once the car warms up a bit, it may be the coolant sensor, but is uncommon. Since you did a little engine maintenance, have you also checked your AFM and IAC? If you have an aftermarket oiled filter, over-oiling can get the AFM coated and work against the proper readings.
