I see, I have no experience with it, although I do have a local friend who uses them. I think he usually use it on an overtorque situation though.

For that purpose they are great, but once a bolt gets rusted shut the don't hold up well. I've found the best way to remove rusted bolts is a good soaking in PB Blaster, then a hit with a cordless impact with a 3/8 adapter. The shock tends to break it free while the slow steady pressure of a wrench/socket will cause the snap. I have yet to snap a bolt with the impact but have broken a metric $#!^ ton with sockets.

Oh I've broke plenty of ---- with an impact. Although my car is rusted all over. Expect the body, which I guess is nice.

Drill out the the center then use a larger drill, and open it a little more then use self tapping bolts, or is your car concourse ready and you need the correct bolts.

Relax it's a miata...LOL

i was sitting there trying to drill it out and gave up. may put a self tapper through it and drive it over to put it on the lift and go at it from there.

If you have to nut and bolt it, that way you don't have to worry if it seizes again.
