Got my new exahust installed

I had ordered an exhaust off Ebay for my NA6. It's an unbranded SR-S N1. The price was definitely right, $185 shipped!
It came in and I went ahead and installed it myself. It was a pretty easy straightforward job. The bulk of the work was raising the car up on the stands and lowering it again, plus the clean up and reorganize tools afterwards, etc< I did have a bit of an issue with some little "L" brackets that came with the kit and I had to modify one of them tio get it to fit right (after I figured out how to mount it). https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1334854666 https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1334854666 https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1334854666 https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1334854666 |

Wow thanks for sharing the brand of that, the same one was on my car when I got it. When I get on my computer I will listen to it and compare supercharged to turbo sound.
Ps its to quiet for turbo cars. |
mine sounds about 60% different, ps that supercharger sounds sweet.

Thanks! That supercharger sure does make a noise when you wind it :D. They are louder than stock and of course, even louder than turbo charged cars... Mine even has the silencer still in it!

I found a couple of issues with the fitment so far. one thing is that a couple of the hangers could be bent a little better. And the last attachment of the can and tip to the car is rigid. I had top modify the little "L" bracket so it would bolt up. The biggest issue is that the rigid mount transmits all the exhaust vibrations into the car frame... I think I've found a solution, but it's going to end up costing me a few more bucks and some fabrication.

I had the same issue until 2 days ago. I cut it off and it seems to be fine.
This is what mine looks like: https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1335058849 |
On mine it stays right where it should be, I want a 2.5 turbo back system anyway so this one doesn't mean much to me.
