Default Need help with possible overheating/starter issues

I recently purchased a 1991 na miata to work on as my first project car over the summer. I'm having issues with the car not starting after its been driven for awhile. If I drive it for more than about 15-20 minutes or push it a little harder it won't turn over again after I shut it off. It will act as if the battery is dead and won't even try to turn over. If I let the car sit for about 5-10 minutes and cool off it will start up, but a bit slower. Both the battery and alternator have been recently replaced and the battery seems to be charging so I'm wondering if the starter is overheating since it seems to have trouble turning when the car has been running. If anyone else has experienced something like this I'd love to know how you fixed it. Thanks for your help and again I'm new to the miata world so please be patient with me haha.
