Right I have a omex Rev limiter/ launch control have a slight idea on wiring it in, but have any of you guys done it and can tell me how to wire it in? As I first thought it was just wire it into the coils but I have been reading around and have herd something about wiring it into an igniter?

Car:
1997 Mx5 Mk1 Uk spec 1.6

Right omex has:

Red - Coil positive
Blue - Coil 1 negative
Blue - coil 2 negative
Black - Earth
Orange - launch control ( I know how to use that )

The wire's going to the coils are:

Blue - live
White - Coil 1 ( fires 2 and 3 ) Trigger
Red - Coil 2 (fires 1 and 4) Trigger

Note: On coil pack side, the Blue wire is now Red and the other to are White w/black tracing and Black w/ White tracing.

I would avoid touching the coil wiring, look into different engine managment. Megasquirt, aem, and some others have built in luanch control and many other features that are basically plug and play in the miata.

 

Ok, I will have a look. But as I have a budget of 100 and spent it on this, I would like to do this. I know its not a perper way as such as I am in the word of motor sport. But it is more for the flames. (show) I have been looking at bit today and does anyone have the pin out for the igniter( ignition amplifier)
