There are several people that have done this in one fashion or another and wrote about it. FM has the basic instructions. The one thing FM doesn't do, that I will be doing is having my input shaft welded.

No what's the advantage of welding the input shaft that fm doesn't?

The way a few folks have described is a more direct response. The input shaft has a spring and a little give to work with the power steering. When depowering and looking for instant turn in, you weld the shaft. Otherwise, as I understand, you will have a small amount of play and or delay.

I'm still waiting on my spare rack to begin this work or I would have better information.

yep, Adam pretty much explained it all. We have a how-to on welding the input shaft btw. its by Ari, one of our sponsored drivers.
