Barring a hole in the bodywork, the only other points of entry are from the trunk gasket, the taillight gasket or from the parcel shelf. Check the trunk gasket first. The good news is that gaskets are inexpensive and relatively easy to replace.

I would be willing to bet your rain rail is clogged, underneath the car just I front of the rear wheels there are rubber lines hanging down, some use coat hangers to clean it out others force compressed air up through there. Either way it will make a mess if its clogged.

i wouldnt, the lower part of my old car was done that way and it never looked good. and if you do do it and dont like it that stuff doesnt come off easily.

Hi guys, Been a while.. Pulled the car out and finally got around to replacing the window guides for the sloooooow windows. Used the Teflon window guides one of the enthusiasts sell...
I have put this off for about 6 months and finally started on it.. it was easy.. lol.. heck while I had the windows out took the old window tint off as well.
windows are working much better now.. old guides were trashed.
next thing to figure out... slooooow windshield wipers..lol

I ordered the guides from ----> RestoRides can ease your window woes with a Teflon guide kit ! - MX-5 Miata Forum
he runs a special every cpl of months.
all u do is remove door panel and loosen a few screws, take the window out replace the guide and reinstall... about 30 mins per door max..
I had one guide gone completely and one that was trashed, works great now.
biggest thing is to not over tighten the screw that holds the guide in place on the glass, and I disconnected power to window motor in the door so I could reconnect it to bump the windows ti get to the screws
I just msgd the guy if he would post them on our forum when he had more.
