Thanks for the offer anyway. I think I made out ok on this one. I'm more inclined to keep it in pristine condition, and use my 95 for my modding addiction. AFAIK it's a better platform for performance anyway.

Got it! Just drove it back from Austin. The soft top is completely shot, but I never use it anyway. No mechanical issues really, I just got done replacing all the shifter bushings, and I need to do something about the rattling heatshield, but other than that she's in great shape.

You might look for a donor car and remove the quarter panel in the "correct" (drilling out the spot welds) manor and replace the offending panel.

I know it takes time but that is what I did for a fouled up driver side rear quarter panel last year.
