Hello Everyone!
I'm not sure if i'm out line with this post but I'm looking at buying one of two Miatas.

Choice 1 - 2002 Mazda Miata MX5 Special Edition for $7k

This will be my first Miata and I'm trying to figure out which looks better. I like the look of both cars, but being new to the Miata world, i'm just trying to figure out is choice 1 worth 1500 more than the 2001. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Definitely the SE. They have the better Bilstein shocks, bigger brakes, stronger 6 speed (if you ever want to go turbo), limited slip differential, power everything, bodykit, fancy wheels, etc.

That is what I was thinking when I saw the 2002 SE, but I wanted to pick ya'lls brain to make sure I wasn't being distracted by the big shiny wheels. 7k seems reasonable for that car... No?

I would still fight with them on the price. Never pay more than you need to.

Thanks you for the help Sixshooter! I ended up getting the 2002 SE. The seller came down some and at the end of it all, I felt it was a fair deal. The 2 hr drive home in the new car already has me kicking myself for not getting one earlier! It's safe to say I have the Miata bug!
