Thinking of buying my neighbors 1999 miata. It doesn’t run,don’t know right now what is wrong with it. It is a convertible, std. transmission. Inspection sticker ran out Feb.this year. It’s gold in color. I’m wondering what were any major issues in this year model? When it was running I never saw any engine smoke from it driving on my street. Have not talked with the owners yet about if it might’ve for sale. I looked at some used prices online from 5900-7900$. These were running cars, my neighbors isn’t. Would someone give me an idea what I should look at on the car and questions to ask the owner to find out more of it’s condition. And lastly a price value of it being of unknown condition.
