Some pics of my 00

Flew down to southern Florida to pick this up for $3500 last January. Then I drove it down to Key West before returning to Nashville.

After changing out the black cloth interior for tan leather. I got the entire tan interior (except for the dash) for $500.

Shoult,

Were did you get that heated, zip out, glass window top?? Was that an OEM top? Do you HAVE to unzip the window to put the top down? I like the idea of keeping the top up, but putting the window down...Just nice to have the glass there with the heating element for rainy days.

I like that one, I drove a 10th anniversary addition last week. It was nice having A/C, power window and locks... And cruise control! I need that for my car.

Got mine on eBay for under $300. The place was called Daveshouz. No, I don't HAVE to zip it out. It goes down just fine without doing that.

Doppelgänger 08-01-2011 08:40 PM

I wish I had zip out glass :( That's the one thing Mazda should have kept with the top when th ewent to the NB.

You can buy one that way next time you replace it. I saw them for sale w/glass and zipper when I was shopping for a rain rail recently. Several colors to choose from.

Nice car saedrin. A factory style lip would really bring it together

Yeah, I've seen them...will keep an eye on them. I just wish Mazda did it from the factory.

Thanks, I had an OEM lip until I drove the car to Edmonton (from Chicago) during the worst blizzard of 2009. Lost the lip somewhere in Saskechistan (or whatever you call that province) by driving over a snow berm some plow left in the road while doing around 80mph.

Thanks! In the first photo with the trailer attached those are the Konig Rewinds in gunmetal with silver lip. In the second photo those are actually the 1st Gen 949Racing 6ULs with the black spokes and a silver lip. They're a little dirty when I first got them...

another quick question, ever get an instructor who complains about not having a racing seat and harnesses for the passenger?

Oh, that was just a member day out at Harris Hill Road. I was testing out the eye-bolts that I had just installed for the harness. I have equal seats & restraints in both sides now. :)

Thanks for the edit:) I'll do better next time.

That is a real 8 ball. I kind of did it just to experiment but left it on cause I liked it so much.

And that's my never leave home without it Valentine One plugged into the lighter socket ( I need to hardwire it).

I hard wired my beltronics rx65, the hardwire kit wasn't long enough go all around the windshield, down the console, to the center to reach the cig lighter. So I got lazy and wired it to the map light. Don't do this, the light is not a constant (although in my jeep it is). I now must turn on the map light to give the radar detector power. I plasti-dipped the cover for the map light lol

What did you use to tap threads onto the billiard ball?

Track 09-15-2011 08:07 PM

Two things guys:

1) Please Embed your pictures, I don't want to click on 15 pictures every page.

2) please REMOVE pictures from your quotes, we don't need to see the same picture 5 times either. Or have an insanely long page to scroll through.

Although I have a tap & die set I have no metric taps so I just drilled the ball a wee bit large and used rubberized tape for a friction fit. If I had realized how much I would like it I would have done a more professional job although it still works very well and is a snug fit.
