Question PS tubing and Fans aren't moving

Hi Ya'll, I just purchased my 1999 Miata 1.8l. After doing some inspection of it, I noticed a few things. The fans don't move, even when I turn on the AC. I attempted to diagnose it with a wire connecting GND and TFA but there was no metal. pin at the TFA. I'm guessing this isn't normal. When I was looking at the air box, I saw that the bottom tube of the fan fluid was cut off. I filled up the coolant liquid 5 days ago and had to refill the entire reservoir today.


Next, I was looking at the air box, when I noticed that, I think, the PS was missing. some coolant lines were zip-tied together. I am unable to add pictures.


Any Ideas?

You're right, Power Steering has been disconnected. Some people like to do this because they think it gives more road feel. The PS pump should be on the driver's side of thr engine just forward of the exhaust header and above the AC compressor. If it's totally gone, you might as well remove the hose and black reservoir. If it's still there, you could try hooking things back up.

Not sure about the fluid hose you're talking about unless you're saying the whole lower radiator hose has been cut. But then you'd see the leak for sure.

Are you sure the coolant temp sender is working? Definitely don't want to overheat the car. But fans won't come on unless it's hot enough.

This is the bottom of the radiator, I assume this is where the coolant leaves the radiator. I have had the car parked for 2 days now and I never find coolant when I take it driving. The coolant must be going somewhere, but not the radiator because I have never found any sort of coolant residue on the ground.

There main PS container is gone, the OG owner actually removed it. I will remove the other lines, thank you.

Sorry, the pic is too dark to see anything. But if it's the large outlet on the lower driver's side, yes, that's the outlet.

You can get coolant leak detection kits at the autoparts store for a few bucks. pour the glowing dye in the radiator and drive around. if there's leaks, the blacklight flashlight will reveal the leaks instantly in the dark. It's very obvious compared to old antifreeze stains. Check out YT for examples.

If you don't see major leaks, it's either being run through the engine (on startup, your exhaust is white from coolant burning). This is bad and you don't want it to get worse.

Or you have a least 1 small leak and either the fluid is drying up or rolling down somewhere unnoticable. This is preferred, only because you can easily replace parts here. But small leaks will tend to get bigger over time.
