Installed a teflon roller kit in my windows. Also bypassed the clutch switch. Now I just have to get into the habbit of NOT pushing the clutch pedal when starting the car..

But the weather man says we will soon be putting them both to bed for the winter. Any tips about winterizing the MSM?

Engine Build Finished....Finally!!
 

My MSM engine build has finally been finished. It should be going back in the chassis next week. The instrument cluster has been finished, at least temporarily. I do still need to add a new water temp gauge, but that will be easy compared to the work I did installing the other gauges and LED's.

The drivers seat upholstery has been repaired, the relays moved to the fender area, the washer tank moved, and the engine compartment is clean enough to eat off of!

I've chip repaired the paint, and replaced the soft clutch line with the long stainless line (949).

Even if it's only for a week or two before winter sets in, I'd like to get a bit of driving in.

I put a folding license plate mount on my wife's MSM.

Received my "SuperMiata Sway Bar" kit from 949 Racing (minus the end links). Came with the Racing Beat 99-00 Sway Bar Brace Blocks, a 14mm Mazdaspeed rear sway bar with urethane bushings, and chose the 1.125" Hollow Bar with .188" wall. You sort of want to read the information on 949's site closely, because there's a different information on the bar recommendations looking at the SuperMiata sway bar kit and the "Big Grip" kit.

Anyway, I picked up the NA front bar instead of the NB. They're designed pretty much the same way, except the NB sway bars flare out a little. With adjustable end links, not a problem. Plus, if I decided to sell the bar, it should make it easier to sell to both NAs and NBs.

Also installed a remote oil cooler in front of the front passenger wheel. The original Flyin' Miata location was just too low and I crushed it when forced down a road that was having the street repaved (in grid lock so couldn't escape).

The sealed bearing end links are really nice! Those should last a long time, compared to the older adjustables with a marginal bearing seal.

Thanks, I hope so. Unfortunately, adjusting them is a real pain. The ends are really large, so they don't leave any space for a proper middle turnbuckle. They have the same directional thread on both sides too, so you can't even take a set of pliers to twist the center to lengthen/shorten. If you do want to adjust them, you have to disconnect the sway bar, then twist the joint, etc.

However, they're nice and quiet for a daily driver. In the past 10 years, I've tried a few different end links, but got tired of the rattling. These should be fine for someone who doesn't fiddle with suspension much.
