I'm asellus! \o/
See: thread title.
I'm a Minnesota guy, long-time lurker of MT and m.net, and have owned my Miata since I was 17.
Storytime!
My first Miata was a base model '96 Montego Blue with R-pkg suspension and a Racing Beat cat-back. I bought it sight unseen from Queens, NY. Flew out with my dad, drove it around the block, then drove home. As I pulled into my driveway, the heater core line under the CAS blew. Wee.
Over the years I've done various suspension, clutches, built an engine, swapped the tranny for a nicer one, put in a 99AE Torsen, and eventually turbocharged it using many pieces from the FM2 kit long before they officially offered partial kits. I think I'm going on six or seven years with the turbo.
I drove the first winter on new Blizzaks, then decided I needed an alternate vehicle since my soft top wasn't terribly happy.
My alternate vehicles have been a '91 BMW 325iX, '93 Audi 90CS Quattro, '05 Subaru Legacy GT, and finally a '00 cali-spec Miata LS (named The Rat). The Rat is the most fun of the bunch, seconded closely by the iX.
