Default New Guy here with a Sunburst

Hi guys. I'm a new member from NY to the forums. I own a 1992 Sunburst yellow Miata. It was originally bought by my step dad about 4 years ago from a friend of his. He planned on selling it earlier this year until I told him I was interested in the car since I used it for college for about 1.5 years prior. He ended up giving me the car instead. It's a fun car to drive. Hope to see a few of you on the road.

That's our second Sunburst Yellow on the forum. You don't how rare that color is.

Welcome to here! Post some pics when you get a chance.

Wow. That is about as clean and original as they get for its age.

Good find.

You had better think about getting a lock for that hardtop if it doesn't already have one. Those suckers get gone a little too easy in cities.

It has its original paint, however there are some tiny spots where the paint seems to become a bit faded. What type of locks are there?

I ended up buying the top separate a couple of years back. Me and my dad had to go all the way to PA to buy it from a guy. It's an original hardtop. Unfortunately, it's a green colored top. Trying to save up at the moment to eventually paint it so it can match the car. We ended up getting a good deal for it.

TOPLOC

Top theft is a serious issue these days as more punk kids buy old Miatas because they are cheap and the 240s are all used up.
