I don't believe I have any plans for next weekend either. Having a newborn will do that.

I just turned 21.. and its my daily driver. My serious problem is simple compared to yours. Its my daily through spring through fall and I'm having second thoughts about tracking it once a year coz I'm scared I might break something or making it a clean turbo'd daily.

i bought mine half-assed turbo'd. spent 2 months working out the major issues, and am still working on the smaller ones. but im still not afraid to go put the miles on it, i drove it back and forth to work 20-30 miles and to school twice a week 50ish miles. the motors are hella reliable as long as you dont run them lean/out of fluids/ or run way to much boost. they also make commutes more fun, i tend to mess with riced civics on the freeway. check out miata turbo, lurk read all you can there is alot of good knowledge there. be warned that when you post you will get some ridicule, dont get angry with them it makes it worse.

Don't worry too much about things breaking. These cars are bulletproof. I've never had to replace a part due to failure. I do it just because I [I]want[I] to. Hell, as a testament to how solid these things are, Ive had my 95 for 6 years, and just found out this year that at one point it was rear ended so badly they welded a whole new rear end on. It;s my DD too. Besides, If it breaks, we can fix it. I have parts and tools nearby...

Forgot: Did you know that Blake/BTDT racing is just up the road in Racine? If you need ANYTHING for a Miata, he has 3 of them for cheap.

Well first things first lets get her running and then if you're up for it, inspect and get her ready for a track day this year. Might as well try it once before I decide to give it up completely.

you can't give up on something before trying it. HPDE is about the most fun per minute per dollar you can have. Better than Paintball if you ask me, and certainly will get you more chicks.

Plus, how can anyone complain about passing corvettes at speed?

I daily my msm in these winters just fine. I bought it in June of 2010 with 42k on the odo and just broke 75k the other day. It's been rock solid the whole time. Only thing you have to worry about is keeping the body nice since chicago drivers love backing into me. Replaced my front bumper and headlight once already as well as the rear bumper. I just noticed when washing the other day too I have a slight crack in the front bumper near the emblem. Looks like another person backed up into me! Ugh!
