Yeah. My friends are already doing it. I wanna go with them to Gingerman this year and actually run my car. I looked at autocross vids and they looked boring compared to the track footage.

@Mazduh: yeah man tell me about it. My car needs body work. The front bumper came shitty coz the guy kept a bra on it for the longest time. My rear bumper already has a long *** scratch from somewhere I don't know. I'd love to have the car redone in championship white.

I agree with doing some HPDEs, they are addicting. Parking your miata in the City sucks ***. I too have had my miata backed all over as well. I'm glad to finally be in the burbs.

Lots of good tracks around here. Gingerman, Putnam, Gratan, Autobahn. Gingerman's test and tunes are what I want to explore more next year. Cheap, fun during the week.

Guy's don't discount WCMC's AutoX's. They are some of the most fun! Usually average 10-12 runs a day. Plus it's good people really. The miata classes are pretty competitive. Quite a few folks can really freakin drive, also a lot of them hit track events too so it's an easy cheap way to get to know people that you'll probably see at track events anyways.

I didn't mean to discount it at all, it's on my list of things to do. I have met several guys at the track that have spoken highly of WCMC AutoX events.

The last event of the year we race at Tire Rack's midwest distribution facility. They've got a nice test track that they let us use. It's a two day event saturday and sunday. It's extremely fun.

I heard about these. Alas, I checked the WCMC schedule for this year and there's no TireRack event listed

They probably haven't set it up yet.

I'm from Mishawaka/South Bend and watched events at the Rack's HQ many times. I've bought almost every tire in the last 15 years from the Rack. However, I've never actually participated in an event. I want to do some this year, as I can drop the wife and kid off at my family's house and head over for a bit of fun.
