Newbie from CT
Hi, everyone. I'm new to the Miata community, but have always been a car enthusiast. First car was an
Acura Integra:
then a civic:
then another Integra:
then after driving an S2000, I just had to get into one. Found this red beauty:
Decided I'd lay low for a while and got rid of the s2000. Forward 6 months or so later and the itch to build a "race car" had me searching all over New England for a Miata. I had previously driven my brothers NA Miata and loved it. Was mainly looking for an NA but the criteria was: 1) No major mods, 2) clean(no rust), and 3) cheap. Then as soon as I saw this NB, I knew she was the one. Picked her up after some intense negotiations and here she is on her way to her new home:
Specs:
00 Highlight Silver Metallic
77K miles
OEM Torsen LSD
PW, PS, AC
Yonaka Coilovers
Garage Star top hats
16x9 Wagen CS1 wheels
Harddog roll bar
Hope you all enjoy my thread. Its going to be a slow and long build as funds are limited. But this thread is mainly going to be a place for me to track my build. Thanks for viewing.

Nice find!
There's a lot of support online, as well as many aftermarket suppliers. Questions are free..... as are the answers, but sometimes carrying out the answers costs money.
Of those suppliers, Flyin Miata (FM), 949 Racing, Goodwin and Miata Roadster are among my favorites.
FM offers tremendous support, and literally built the market. Keith is a fountain of information on these cars.
949 Racing designed the 6 UL wheels specifically for the miata, saving several pounds of unsprung weight over just about every other wheel Emilio is a great source.
Where are you in Connecticut? I'm near the coast and the Rhode Island line.
