Hey all,,,I have a 95 MX5 I think???? I know that sounds weird but the title and VIN say one thing but the VIN on the firewall doesn't match!!!??? The sticker under the hood says a 91... can you look at the 1.6 and 1.8 and tell a difference? Is there another way to know what I have?

seems to me you may have a 1.8 in your 1.6. Common conversion, and its a plus too, the 95s I think still had the oil port in the rear for easier boosting

there are tons of ways to quickly tell, that's an easy one. but no passenger airbag = 1.6L = 90-93.


sounds like you need to get your title straighten out. 'cause you technically don't own the car you are driving if the VIN doesn't match the one on the dash.
