Default When it rains it pours

Obviously not the first and I doubt I'll be the last of the converts.. but I'm here from CR.

I'm eric, from upstate NY (lived in middle tennessee for a bit too), I've got a black NB with a HT, harddog HC M1 DD, kirkey, RB front swaybar, M edition wheels, ricelands, and that's about it for what's been installed so far.

I've got a dumpy turbo setup laying around too but I don't think I'm going to bother with it. I'm looking at Bell and FM prefabs right now and tuning options. The previous owner neglected the car it seems and the bottom end will need a rebuild soon so I'm looking at some forged goodies for the bottom end to go with the turbo junk. Hoping to do low-mid 12s consistent on street tires all while being herrafrush.

Welcome! I've always liked black NB's. Hell to maintain though.

Welcome to the forum!

You can check out the MFz racers (under miata pictures) and also our recent feature page (also under miata pictures).

As for the FI stuff, I think you will find that a lot of people would rather put the money towards doing their own kit rather than going with a pre-fab.

Particularly, a lot of ebay stuff is actually pretty good if you read up on it first (intercoolers and some turbos).

Lastly, i have found siliconeintakes to be very good price and quality wise for silicone and piping needs.

Haha you ain't kidding man! Why do you think all of my pictures are in such low light? It needs a good wax, and some fresh paint too on the door. The hood is CF and faded as well, but the rain in that picture sure does make it look nice lol.

Honestly, I know that custom built really is the way to go but in my time with cars I've always sort of done stuff the way it's not supposed to be done and for once I would love for something to just.. bolt up. lol. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I have some awesome fabricators local to me that I've considered as well but I haven't made any real decisions yet. I'm still in the research stage. I've been considering having someone local just make me a nice manifold and downpipe, using ebay IC/piping with better clamps, getting an internally gated turbo, and just rolling with it like that but who knows at this point. I've got all winter to think about it.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

true dat, I am post-poing all FI'd excursions until my HPDE skills catch-up to the car. I am planning to MS3X the car later this year and then I will schedule myself for FI.

miataturbo is probably a good resource on where you can save and where you should spend. Those ******* are cheap, if they can be.

I've been on MT for a while and I have been doing a bit of research on rods and pistons. I've already found a great H beam forged rod for next to nothing with ARP hardware included, still thinking about pistons though. I get overwhelmed when I go into their turbo sections though to be honest. Those guys know their for sure.
