advice on buying a car

well, I have kinda pussed out on the Van. After seeing how difficult it is to work on it, I am thinking a Truck/SUV would better suit my garage mechanic skills.

plus that 5.4 is ------ overkill. Disappointment, but I will keep looking for the "perfect" tow vehicle.

Too bad the newer 4 door Wranglers have such a crappy tow capacity. I think that would be sweet.

go look at some inline 6 f-150's, not gonna win any races with it. but they make some good torque.

yea, i would really like get under 3k for the car too. I feel that you can find a decent silverado/f-150 to tow with in that range. that way I can get the trailer and any maintenance done with-in my 4k limit.

I got a job tugging a 20 foot trailer full of three yard trash bins, six to be exact. Using an F-250 Super Duty with a Power Stroke diesel, thing pulls like no tomorrow.
