I think it is a bad idea to use a different screen name because your friends won't readily know you either.

I just think that this forum needs to be self-moderating in a way that neither m.net or mt.net is. M.net takes pains not to offend noobs or to ever suggest that someone might just be wrong. Mt.net prides itself on weeding out the stupidity, but does so at the expense of those who are simply inexperienced or uninterested in bringing their A game every time they log on the forum.

I think we can hit a balance here, but the moderators can't create that culture -- it has to be created and developed by the membership, and then the moderators can encourage it with careful moderation.

 

Let's make everyone a moderator...that'll make it interesting :giggle:
