Feedback!!!! Three sides to a story
I wanted to let you know of three situations I recently went through....
I caught an ad here for a 3 piece set of BBS centers and struck a deal with the seller, acro94. I sent him payment for the caps the same day that he requested it via Pay-Pal and attached my address and cell number to the payment. That night I received a call from a third party that he was refunding my payment because he had NO IDEA who I was or why I was sending him money. It turns out that acro94 was trying to have me pay this third person for a set of tail lights he wanted. I would have been left out in the cold if acro94 decided not to send the caps.
Acro94 claimed that his Pay-pal account was locked (FLAG!) and that he would have to ask his Mom if he could use her account (another FLAG!). In the end, I was promised TWICE that the caps would be sent and I could pay after receiving them. I still have the cash on my Pay-Pal account so now after more than a month and several attempts to contact acro94, I am still without my caps. {proof of all this is still in my PM account} PM's and emails are not being answered. Not cool....
The flip side of this story is swong46.... he was selling a Griffin radiator at a very reasonable price. I have one like it in my V-8 Miata and though it would be good to have another for an upcoming project. I struck the deal but wanting to keep acro's cash on my Pay-Pal account just in case, I asked swong to wait a couple days for me to deposit money into my account and have it post before paying him. The rad arrived yesterday and was still in the original box/condition as promised.
I have sold parts and run into unforeseen issues myself. Things happen beyond your control, I get it.... I have a guy that paid for a set of tin seat pans. I sent them and nearly two weeks later they showed up on MY door with a stamp saying "undeliverable, bad address". That buyer has been contacted via email, given my cell number, spoken to personally and the parts shipped via a different carrier to a second address that he provided. I am doing my best to ensure he is happy.
What's this all have to do with the forum? I would like the Mods to think about a rating system that could be attached to our profiles similar to ebay where folks can look up your rating to see if you are the type of person that is going to string folks along or go that extra mile to ensure that people get what they pay for.... yes it's at your own risk, but a little info could go a long way.

First off, sorry your in that crappy situation. But atleast you still have the money. Second we do have such a system look at the Itrader in the profile section it works fairly well but is not linked between multiple forums. So that info really only applies to here.

The problem is still the large number of new sellers here. Many don't have a single post besides their sale threads. There is ITrader, but it only works if used. The interweb is full of good and bad guys.
