Did he purchase the kit from factory five?

Put it together himself or had a company?

Some ACs for sale on eBay at $32,000

Yep. I bought FFR axles/CVs for my 8.8 in the V8 car. They are the perfect length to work with the 8.8 IRS and broached Miata hubs. And, at only $110 per side, they were cheap, too!

whats a ballpark figure for the kit? I check their site.

With regards to assembled, does that include interior, gauges and paint as well?

Rick, if you are considering it, check a couple of the Factory Five forums and buy vs build. The old adage of "xxx invested, will sacrifice for yy" is strongly in play. You can't build for what you can buy. That's what actually launched me into the V8 Miata. I wanted a FFR Cobra, but I wanted to build it. Most are in the $35-40K range but they are selling in the $22-$30K range.

I would build a Miata but i like creature comfort. I would want the Miata to be a v8 wide body with AC

Is it cool for me to own a v8m? Hell yea, sleeper But we know chix dig the AC cobras... We also know (or i know) there arent many 'real' shops around my parts.

That being said, yea, guys are letting them go cheap but Acs do lack the hard top functionality of the Miata. I need to be as far away from the steering wheel and my head NOT rubbing on the soft top though which happens in the Miata

I like too many cars
