New job?
#22
I dont know why its so hard. Maybe lack of education? Due to the fact that there are xxxx many people that also dont have jobs but have more schooling than I do. I turned in a few more applications yesterday. Feeling pretty good, fingers crossed of course. If I land either of them I will be making pretty good money and plan on buying a new car.
I have been looking at 2011 5.0 Mustangs. I could drop a down payment on one now and have it but my savings account would run dry on payments.

Why buy a brand new car... that is the problem with people today. Save your money. Buy something reasonable. Even a turbo miata is relatively practical if you don't have a family... 32mpg, reliable if you don't track it.

Ya but there aren't too many used '11 5.0 mustang around, and the prices probably aren't that much cheaper then a new one.

I'm saying don't buy a shitstang. Get a 92 accord with 240k for the daily. If he/you/she/whatever can afford it go ahead, but I'm buying all my future cars in cash... if I can't do that then I can't afford it.

Maybe he doesn't want to drive around a shitbox. But ya don't have to drop 30K to get a nice daily.

Not about wants, about needs. If he doesn't need to drive around in a shitbox then fine. Again, us, as in the American people, need to start living with what we can afford. I use to not think I needed to in my younger ages. But I'm starting to wise up and realize I can't afford a lot of things I "want".

I will never buy any FWD piece of ----. They may run forever and get 32 mpg but I will never buy one. I have 1 DD and 2 toys. This is defiantly not about needs, I don't need a new Mustang, I want a new Mustang. And the car will be 1/3 paid for with the down payment. And being able to buy something exactly how I want it, optioned how I want it, and have zero miles, sounds good to me.

Not sure if serious....

Why do you think a miata is a FWD pos...
If I'm not mistaken you just said you don't have a job a few posts up.... edit: yes you did... not sure you can afford a new car on a fast food restaurant paycheck but whatever.
