at the family rate (my best friends dad who is like family owns a body shop) its about 3k to get it the way i want it, add a torsen, add a motor refresh. the car will not be worth what i would have to put into it.
I hope to be able to do something by fall, and find one close to somebody on the forum to go check it out for me.

Luckily my body man is family, so body work is always done for most of materials. Is that price with you doing all (or most) the prep work, prep work is pretty easy and should cut the cost by a good bit. But the final product is directly related to the prep work so...

My Condo association just sent this info out about the upcoming NATO summit. I own a condo one block from the event.
Looks like the dog walkers and visitors get water boarded if they show up at the wrong time. Yay.

The secret service has contacted Chess Lofts and we have been advised to inform residents of the following important information related to the NATO Summit, May 20th-21st and how it will impact the residents of Chess Lofts.
Per Secret Service: Chess Lofts Residents:
There will be no parking on Calumet between Cullerton and 21st Street on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Limited access to parking may occur while the hard perimeter is being set up as early as May 12th.
There will be no parking on 21st Street. between Calunet and Michigan Ave Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Limited access to parking may occur while the hard perimeter is being set up as early as May 12th
Carry identification when leaving the building. If your ID does not reflect 320 E. 21st Street, then you should carry a piece of mail that shows your address as 320 E. 21st. Street. (ComEd, Comcast, Credit Card or other bill will suffice)
The front door of Chess Lofts will remain accessible, but you may need to show ID to enter on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
All guests visiting Chess Lofts must be met by a resident and be prepared to show ID if requested on Saturday, Sunday & Monday
No food deliveries will be allowed to Chess Lofts on Saturday, Sunday & Monday
Residents should be able to walk or ride bikes without much impact from security and /or police outside the hard perimeter on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Public transpiration is highly recommended.
Residents will be able to access the Chess Lofts garage from Cullerton Street on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. However, monitoring of the Chess Lofts garage entry will be in effect and residents who park in the garage should be prepared to show ID when entering on Sunday and Monday.
Vehicles left unattended in the alley on the west side of Chess Lofts will be towed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
No UPS, FedEx or US Postal Service package deliveries will be accepted at Chess Lofts on Saturday, Sunday, Monday. All packages must be removed from the Chess Lofts mail area by Friday, May 18th.
The Chess Lofts roof deck will be closed on Saturday, Sunday & Monday.
No moves will be allowed into or out of Chess Lofts from May 14th through May 22.
No contractors will be permitted to work at the building on Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Use caution when going on balconies & using observation equipment : Secret Service will be watching you too!
The NATO Summit hard perimeter will go into effect at 12:01am Saturday, May 19th. The hard perimeter will consist of fencing and concrete barricades patrolled by secret service and police. No one other then authorized persons will be allowed to enter the hard perimeter. (Check the map at the bottom of this email)
The hard perimeter will be set up on 21st Street (the south side of 21st Street) from Indiana east to Calumet. On Calumet from Cullerton south to 21st. No cars will be allowed to drive on 21st Street or Calumet on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Limited driving access may occur while the hard perimeter is being set up as early as May 12th.
The 18th Street walking bridge will be closed and no access to the lake front will be permitted on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Lake Shore Drive will be closed from Balbo to 39th Street both northbound and southbound on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Roosevelt Road will be closed from Lake Shore Drive west to Michigan Avenue on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Cermak will be closed from Michigan Ave east to Martin Luther King Drive on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Interstate 55 both ways between Interstate 90/94 will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Indiana Ave. will be limited to resident driving access on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Prairie Avenue will be limited to resident driving access on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Another set of closures involves areas near McCormick Place, where NATO will meet; the northern Museum Campus near the Field Museum, where some related events will occur, and the area adjacent to the Chicago Cultural Center and the Art Institute, generally on Saturday and Sunday.
The Adler Planetarium, Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium will be closed to the public on Sunday, May 20.
Commuter rail lines will run. But the McCormick Place stop will be closed Sunday and Monday, "other stations may be closed as needed" and some delays are likely.
Michigan Avenue will be the closest north south driving access and residents should expect major traffic congestion.

I accidentally flew over a Nuclear Reactor post 9/11 when they had the same standing order. Luckily I realized it quickly and diverted. I was literally telling my passenger to look out for the reactor as it should be close and we can't go over it. They called out as they pointed straight down, "Is that it?!" my answer was "Uh, oops!"
Another plane from the same FBO didn't pay attention to the order a few days earlier and after taking a friend that worked at the reactor for a sight seeing trip, got a fun little escort by an F-16 home and a quite the chewing out by the FAA. I don't believe they seized his license though.
