Just in case anyone didn't see this yet. Roll bars are important. Harnesses are great and should be worn tighter around the waist than this guy had them. And hard tops are made of the same crap the body of this car is made of and will perform similarly in a roll over.

I'm guessing since you reacted that way and don't yet have a rollbar that you haven't seen this one:
Did you see what happened to the hardtop? And the windshield frame? And this car had a rollbar. If it didn't the windshield would have been even with the top of the shoulder harness and tops of the doors. And watch when the ground suddenly smashes the driver's head out of the frame. Good stuff those rollbars. He'd have been dead or crippled without it.

And since you might be thinking it was an isolated incident or that you must be in 4th gear or higher to do it, this guy was nearly stopped when his went over:
And this one couldn't have been still doing 40 or 45mph when he went over. A full cage and he still had trouble getting out.
If the car had no bar and you were on a public roadway with it upside down completely flat, you'd never get out of it. It would be the longest 20 minutes of your life waiting for somebody to turn it over if you lived through it. That is, if somebody was around to see you roll it and even call for help...
