Oh yeah, even their buggies have working lights (battery). They have to by law in Indiana (I believe). They have heat in the buggies as well.

LOL, in high school we went up to OshKosh and my buddy bought us t-shirts. If you can't fly a tail dragger, you can't fly.

I love the Stinson, another beautiful plane.

sigh, I need to figure out how to own a Waco someday. My dream would be a Waco and a Stagerwing in my hanger.

That could be a Mennonite... they don't all have restrictions on technology.

Mennonites or Amish in Color as we called them can drive cars where I'm from. He's Amish for sure. They can run electricity off of battery and even generator in their shops. Just can't run AC/DC to the house. Again it all depends on your local parish on just how far you can take it, but all buggies have basic lighting for safety. Note, those lights are probably just flashers not brake lights. They also have to have the slow moving vehicle sign displayed on the back just like Farm Machinery does.

Even with that, you hear every few years of someone hitting a buggy. Usually, it's someone from out of town that has never seen a tractor or buggy and drives like a moron in the country.
