Recommendations on where to learn to weld

Agreed, practice. I can weld up a storm... never been taught a lesson in my life. I was lucky to land at a shop with a welder when i was young and just started messing around. 10 yrs later i think i could do it as a profession.

Half the battle is having experience\ knowledge of having the settings right so your not burning through or bird pooping it up.

If i were you id just go buy a 110v mig with a gas setup and find some scraps and start welding them together. It would be cheaper than a class.


I have yet to try my hand at tig. Ive wanted to for years but just havent had access to one.
